Bluejay
Home Is Where The Hearts Are
Peering through the glass of my large container, I see the scientists chattering about God knows what. The green liquid flowing in he container forces me to close my eyes again. Accidentally, I fall asleep. Who am I, really? I think. Who am I...
When I wake I'm sitting in a room with big white walls, and in a hall there's a big grey door with a big window, big and small people peeking through and watching me. On my arm, instead of a bracelet that's pretty I find this tight metal thing wrapped around my arm with a glowing green light in the middle. My bluejay wings weap around me as my blue cat ears lower in fear. I let out a whimper.
My name is Bluejay. I was recently born a couple minutes ago in my happy home, UltraChrome Laboratories. I have many mothers and fathers that helped make me. I am a science subject, the result of scientists expirimenting with DNA. I'm a mix of bluejay, cat, and human. So I have blue hair, blue cat ears, bluejay wings, a blue tail... and a white tee with a red thing on it, black skirt, pink belt, and Mary Janes. I have glimmering blue eyes. My favorite color wasn't even blue until he scientists told me about who I was. I guess my name is Bluejay, I'm 14, and I like blue. Oh well.
Scientists
Three tall scientists walk in my room with a rolling tray table. They smile.
"Now, how's our precious birdy doing?" A woman asks. That woman was the guard standing next to the door. Her job is to monitor every room and comfort them. The fat thing can't do her job. Everyone hates her. I think. I flatten my ears and growl, but a scientist sets her hands on my shoulders.
"Darling, please. We need to experiment on you but we can't do it unless you stay still." I pipe down. A male scientist with red hair and a missing left arm takes out a syringe. An empty one. He stabs it into my neck and draws blood from it, collecting it in the syringe. I whimper helplessly but stay put. The scientist yanks it out.
"Good girl, just a couple more," he says. They keep doing that with different parts of my body until they finish.
"Okay," they finally say, "last thing we're going to do to you is take you to the, erm... Fun Room." I cheer and clap my hands. The scientist whispers to another as she scurries off.
How Fun Can the Fun Room Get?
"Now, just follow us." The guard grabs my hand tightly and leads me in their direction as I weakly stumble around. I look through the windows of the rooms and see a boy with brown hair struggling and thrashing to get free from the scientist's grasp. He notices me and cocks his head, watching as I was pulled away. I think, the scientists are never mean to me. He must've been bad? Finally I arrive at the Fun Room. It was another white room with blood splattered over the ground. In the middle was a grey metal chair with wires crossing her and here from it. There was a table with lots of pretty buttons on it. It was hard to not want to press them. They threw me onto the chair and strapped me down.
"Now stay put..." they press a button as I felt a bunch of electricity surge through me. I yelp and wriggle, but they press it again. Then they press another button as a bunch of ice cold water splashes onto me from the ceiling. The scientists are behind a glass screen, so they don't get wet. They laugh as I shiver miserably. Why were they doing this? They turned on the cold AC as I shivered even more, ears down while I whimpered. They cackle and send more volts of lightning surging through me. I see someone running down the hall. They send more cold water splashing onto me and electricity sparking until someone busts in through the door. He has brown hair, is wearing a black windbreaker, red tee and jeans, and has a metal thing around his arm.
"STOP!" He yells.
